These two were amazing, both of them are beautiful people with great smiles, getting them to smile together without laughing at the other was the hard part. That and working on the serious face. =)
In all seriousness, they were great, I was working with some new technices and that didn’t bother them one bit. Thank you both for a wonderful photosession. I am looking forward to the wedding at the end of the month! Below are a few of my favorites and if you would like to see them all click here.
This last weekend I was able to go out for a ride on my Motorcycle. I took advantage of the weather and the amazing scenery, I made a few stops on my trip from Austin to Three Rivers and captured the below images. It was a very successful ride, and the only complaint is that I was dumb and didn’t wear my gloves, needless to say 6+ hours without the gloves will give you a nasty burn on your hands, but the pictures made it worth it!
I went down for the last weekend of Mardi Gras to visit friends in New Orleans and to see some Parades! The parades were good as usual and it is always good to see my friends. I was on the corner of Carrollton Ave and Canal for Endymion, right where the parade turns, made it a little difficult to capture some of the parade, but having the canon 16-35L f2.8 really helped out!! Here are a few photos from the day, enjoy!
Recently I started playing with an idea for a friend of mine that wanted a close up photo of a guitar. They were asking me if I could take one that would show the guitar in a creative way. I started tossing the idea around and decided I would light paint the photo in a dark room to try and give it the feel that I was thinking of. This worked out great, the only problem was I kept coming up with more ideas with each new photo that was taken. The one below you see the red laser pointer that I ran down the strings while the shutter was open. It is quite hard to get it strait, but I think this gave it a cool effect. I will post a few of my favorite below, let me know what you think.
The two below you see the glow around the outside of the image, if you are wondering how that was done, all I did was take a mini mag light and place my thumb over the light, this creates a red glow through your thumb. I then just kept a constant motion of light with my thumb over it and created the glow/smoke looking light you see around the guitar.
Wow, what a trip!! The Dominican Republic was BEAUTIFUL!!! Although I wish I could have stayed longer, and the sunrises were amazing, it just gives me something to look forward to next time!
